1. Service Scope & Dedicated Tailoring Purpose

Boutique Pilot (formerly Smart Ladies Tailor Assistant; package ID: com.smartladies.tailorassistant) is an offline-first operational productivity and cutting calculation assistant engineered specifically for ladies tailors, boutique owners, master cutters, and fashion artisans.

The Application provides specialized modules for custom measurement charts (Blouse, Kurti, Ladies Suits, Salwar/Pants, Lehengas, Gowns), order lifecycle tracking (Pending, In Progress, Ready, Delivered, Overdue), artisan piece-rate task rate lists and wage ledgers, shop expense diaries, 5% GST invoicing (SAC 9988) with payment QR codes, client celebration reminders (same day and 7 days advance), optional customer phonebook saving, and Tailoring Academy garment drafting formulas. The developers do not sell fabrics, provide stitching labor, or act as tailoring contractors.

2. User Data Ownership & Backup Responsibilities

You retain 100% exclusive ownership of all customer measurements, orders, worker transactions, financial records, and design photographs entered into the Application.

• Local Storage Nature: All operational business data resides exclusively on your physical device in an SQLite database (Version 25). The developers do not store, synchronize, or hold copies of your business database on any remote cloud server.
• Mandatory Backup Requirement: You are solely responsible for creating and maintaining external backups of your data. The Application provides a manual export feature (creating an encrypted .stbackup container package). You must use the Android Share functionality to store this backup file securely on an external service (such as Google Drive or external storage).
• Permanent Loss on Device Wipe: Uninstalling the Application, performing an Android factory reset, or using the "Clear Storage" option in Android Settings will permanently and irreversibly erase your local database and all associated fabric photos. The developers cannot recover un-exported local data.

3. Single-Device Boutique Account Binding

To safeguard the confidentiality of your customer records and prevent cross-contamination of tailoring accounts:

• When you register or sign in, your account is bound to your physical smartphone via an internal device-binding identifier.
• Logging out clears the active session token but retains the device lock. Attempting to log into a different boutique account on the same physical phone is automatically blocked with security guard CROSS_ACCOUNT_DEVICE_BOUND.
• This policy ensures that employees or third parties cannot sign in with a foreign account on your device and access your boutique's private customer records.

4. Subscriptions, Pricing & Google Play In-App Billing

Boutique Pilot provides a Free Starter Tier alongside optional Boutique Pilot PRO (formerly Smart Tailor PRO) premium subscriptions.

4.1 Payment Processing

All purchases and subscription renewals are managed exclusively by Google Play In-App Billing. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes as determined by Google Play. We do not handle, process, or view your banking or card details.

4.2 Automatic Renewal & Cancellation

Monthly and Yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled by you at least 24 hours prior to the renewal date.

How to Cancel: You may cancel auto-renewal at any time via your device:

1. Open the Google Play Store app on your Android smartphone.
2. Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.
3. Select Payments & subscriptions ➔ Subscriptions.
4. Locate Boutique Pilot (listed in Google Play under Smart Ladies Tailor Assistant / com.smartladies.tailorassistant) and tap Cancel subscription.

4.3 72-Hour Soft Buffer & Data Preservation on Expiry

• Grace Buffer: When an active subscription expires, the Application provides a 72-hour soft buffer before downgrading features to the Free tier, protecting your operations from temporary credit card declines.
• Your Data is Never Locked: If your account downgrades to the Free tier, none of your existing customers, orders, or records are ever deleted or locked. You retain full access to view, edit, and complete existing records; only the creation of new records exceeding free quotas is paused until renewal.

4.4 Refunds

Because subscription purchases are processed via Google Play, refund requests are governed strictly by the Google Play Refund Policies. You can request a refund directly through your Google Play purchase history.

6. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use

• The Boutique Pilot (formerly Smart Ladies Tailor Assistant) software, user interface design, logos, and proprietary algorithms are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
• You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or distribute copies of the Application.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right or license to use any customer photos or third-party design reference images imported into the app via external URLs.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers of Boutique Pilot (formerly Smart Ladies Tailor Assistant) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of the use or inability to use the Application.
